General Information

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a transparent bridge that is shaped like a horseshoe. It is a major tourist attraction in Arizona, since it is located on the edge of the Grand Canyon (West area) and offers spectacular views. The elevation of the Skywalk is 4,770 ft (1,450 m) and the elevation of theshow vertical drop directly under the skywalk is between 500 ft (150 m) and 800 ft (240 m). The Skywalk is operated by the Hualapai Indian tribe. You can access it via the Grand Canyon West Airport terminal or you can drive 120-mile drive from Las Vegas. But watch out, the drive includes a 10-mile stretch of dirt road. Don't scratch up your rental car.
